These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Realms and Roads website at realmsandroads.com (the "Site") and any membership or subscription services offered through it. By accessing the Site or subscribing to any membership tier, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About the Service

Realms and Roads is a personal creative fiction platform operated by Fidel Namisi ("I", "me", "my"). The Site publishes original fiction stories and, for paying subscribers, provides access to audio narrations of those stories. Membership is offered in free and paid tiers.

2. Membership and Accounts

To access stories on the Site, you must create a free account by providing your email address. Paid subscriptions unlock additional content, including audio narrations. Authentication is handled via magic links sent to your registered email — there are no passwords.

You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. I am not responsible for unauthorised access to your Realms and Roads account resulting from a compromise of your email account.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed securely by Paystack, an authorised payment processor. By subscribing, you authorise Paystack to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

Subscription prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR), Kenyan Shillings (KES), US Dollars (USD), and other supported currencies at checkout. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid content until then. For refund requests, see the Refund Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

All stories, text, audio narrations, and other creative content on this Site are the original work of Fidel Namisi and are protected by copyright. Your membership grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and listen to content for your own private enjoyment. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, resell, or otherwise exploit any content from this Site without my written permission.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to share your account credentials, magic links, or any paid content with others. Sharing your account or circumventing access controls is a breach of these Terms and may result in account termination without refund. 6. Availability

I aim to keep the Site available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. In the event of a permanent closure, I will provide reasonable notice and offer pro-rated refunds for any unused subscription period.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. My total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

9. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered members. Continued use of the Site after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
