This Privacy Policy explains how Realms and Roads, operated by Fidel Namisi ("I", "me", "my"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use realmsandroads.com.

1. What Information I Collect

The only personal information I collect is your email address, which you provide when creating a free account or subscribing to a paid membership. I do not collect your name, phone number, postal address, or any identity documents.

Payment information (card details, billing address) is entered directly into Paystack's secure checkout and is never transmitted to or stored on my servers. I receive only a subscription confirmation and a Paystack customer identifier — I never see your payment card details.

I also collect standard website analytics data (page views, session duration, referring URLs) through Google Analytics (GA4). This data is anonymous and aggregated — it is not linked to your email address.

2. How I Use Your Email Address

Your email address is used exclusively to:

• Send you a magic sign-in link when you request access to your account.
• Send subscription confirmation, billing notifications, and renewal reminders.
• Associate your account with your Paystack subscription record.
• Respond to support or contact requests you initiate.

I do not send marketing emails or newsletters unless you explicitly opt in to receive them. I will never sell or rent your email address to third parties.

3. Data Storage

Your email address and subscription status are stored securely in Amazon Web Services (AWS) DynamoDB, hosted in the US East (N. Virginia) region. Access is restricted to the application itself and to me as the site operator.

Authentication tokens (magic links) are stored temporarily and expire automatically after 15 minutes of creation.

4. Third-Party Services

I use the following third-party services which may process data as part of delivering the site:

• Paystack — payment processing. Your payment data is subject to Paystack's Privacy Policy.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, database, email delivery (via SES), and content delivery (CloudFront).
• Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous site analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• AWS Amplify — static site hosting.

5. Cookies

The Site uses a small number of functional cookies and localStorage entries to maintain your login session (stored as a JWT token). Google Analytics sets its own cookies for anonymous analytics purposes. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
• Request that I correct or delete your data.
• Cancel your subscription and request account deletion at any time.

7. Data Retention

I retain your email address and subscription record for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion or have been inactive for more than 3 years with no subscription history, your data will be deleted.

8. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with their email address, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to registered members. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
